Dr. Patricia Pérez

Patricia Pérez is the president of Patricia Pérez E.d.D. Inc. Her organization provides professional development, curriculum development and multicultural awareness to educational institutions, corporations and abroad. Patricia began her career as a Spanish bilingual, elementary-level schoolteacher. Yet has a wide range of experience working at every level of public education, spanning 20 years. Her 20 years of experience drove her to push for change in public education.

Patricia climbed her own ladder: obtaining a bachelor’s, a master’s and a doctorate degree in education, with ethnic studies and urban teacher leadership options, and teaching and administrative credentials. She has taught elementary classes, tutored high school students, taught undergraduate and graduate students, and supported teachers in their classrooms from K-12 grades.Patricia has provided professional development and diversity awareness to over 200 teachers. She has recruited over 200 Bay area teachers and administrators for their teaching credential, master's or administrative credential. Patricia has also taught and developed curriculum in the Bay Area, Honduras and Thailand. She has presented at international educational conferences in Malaysia and Thailand and organized international leadership conferences in Laos and Thailand. Her international travel has taught her to be open minded and committed to social justice.

Patricia holds a Service Excellence Award for individual contributions from Engineers Without Borders-Orange County Professional Chapter. She was presented an award from the Olancho Aid Foundation for the extraordinary support and commitment of providing educational support opportunities to the people of Olancho, Honduras. And recognized as 2012/2013 Woman of the Year from the National Association of Professional Women for excellence and dedication in her field.
